On an Eid day, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) would return by a different road from the one he had taken when going out (for the Eid prayer.).
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ رضى الله عنه
قَالَ: «كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ اَلْعِيدِ خَالَفَ اَلطَّرِيقَ»
