The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) set Safiyah (radiyallahu anhu) free, and made her freedom her dowry.
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ
عَنِ اَلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -«أَنَّهُ أَعْتَقَ صَفِيَّةَ، وَجَعَلَ عِتْقَهَا صَدَاقَهَا»
