وَعَنْ جُذَامَةَ بِنْتِ وَهْبٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا
قَالَتْ: «حَضَرْتُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أُنَاسٍ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَنْهَى عَنِ الْغِيلَةِ، فَنَظَرْتُ فِي اَلرُّومِ وَفَارِسَ، فَإِذَا هُمْ يُغِيلُونَ أَوْلَادَهُمْ فَلَا يَضُرُّ ذَلِكَ أَوْلَادَهُمْ شَيْئًا. ثُمَّ سَأَلُوهُ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ ? فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ -«ذَلِكَ اَلْوَأْدُ اَلْخَفِيُّ»
I was with the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) along with some people when he was saying, “I have intended to prohibit Ghila (sexual intercourse with a woman who is breast-feeding), but I considered the Romans and the Persians and saw that they engaged in Ghila without any injury being caused to their children thereby.”
Then they asked him about ‘Azl (withdrawing the penis before emission of semen, to avoid conception), and the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied, ‘That is the secret (way of) burying alive.’’
