حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مِغْوَلٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْفُضَيْلَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ
رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْكَلَالَةِ فَقَالَ تَكْفِيكَ آيَةُ الصَّيْفِ فَقَالَ لَأَنْ أَكُونَ سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِي حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ
I asked the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) about kalalah and he said: “The verse that was revealed in summer is sufficient for you.” He said: Had I asked the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) about it, that would have been dearer to me than having red camels.
