حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ
قَالَ قِيلَ لِعَلِيٍّ وَلِأَبِي بَكْرٍ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ مَعَ أَحَدِكُمَا جِبْرِيلُ وَمَعَ الْآخَرِ مِيكَائِيلُ وَإِسْرَافِيلُ مَلَكٌ عَظِيمٌ يَشْهَدُ الْقِتَالَ أَوْ قَالَ يَشْهَدُ الصَّفَّ
It was said to Ali and Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنهما) on the day of Badr. Jibreel is with one of you and Mikaeel is with the other, and Israfeel, a mighty angel, is present at the fight – or he said, is present in the ranks.
