وعن ابن مسعود
رضي الله عنه قال: قلت: يا رسول الله أي العمل أحب إلى الله تعالى؟ قال: «الصلاة على وقتها«قلت: ثم أي؟ قال: «بر الوالدين«قلت ثم أي: قال: «الجهاد في سبيل الله»
I asked the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam): “Which action is dearest to Allah?” He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) replied, “Performing As-Salat (the prayer) at its earliest fixed time.” I asked, “What is next (in goodness)?” He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Kindness towards parents.” I asked, “What is next (in goodness)?” He (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “To participate in Jihad in the Cause of Allah.”.
