حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي عَوَانَةَ، (قَالَ ابْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ،) عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْمَاهِرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَعَ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ وَالَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ وَيَتَتَعْتَعُ فِيهِ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَاقٌّ لَهُ أَجْرَانِ»

Aishah reported the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) (as saying): One who is proficient in the Qur’an is associated with the noble, upright, recording angels; and he who falters in it, and finds it difficult for him, will have two rewards.

কুতাইবাহ ইবনু সাঈদ (রহঃ) ..... ইবনু আব্বাস (রাযিঃ) হতে বর্ণিত। রাসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম একবার দুধ পান করলেন। তারপর পানি আনালেন। এরপর কুলি করলেন এবং বললেন, এতে তৈলাক্ত পদার্থ রয়েছে।

۔ عقیل نے زہری سے ، انہوں نے عبید اللہ بن عبد اللہ سے اور انہوں نے حضرت ابن عباس ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی کہ نبیﷺ نے دودھ نوش فرمایا : پھر پانی طلب کیا ، کلی کی اور فرمایا : یقیناً اس میں کچھ چکناہٹ ہے ۔ ‘ ‘

Bize Kuteybetü'bnü Said rivayet etti. (Dediki): Bize Leys, Ukayl'den o da Zührî'den, o da Ubeydullah b. Abdullah'dan, o da İbni Abbas'dan naklen rivayet etti ki, Nebi (Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem) süt içmiş sonra su isteyerek ağzını çalkalamış ve: «Bunun yağı vardır.» buyurmuş

What it teaches

• Encouraging memorization of the Qur'an, mastering its recitation, and frequently reciting it to attain the reward and recompense, along with highlighting the elevated status of those who do so.
• Al-Qādi said: It does not mean that the one who stutters in the recitation has a greater reward than the proficient reciter. Rather, the proficient reciter is superior and has a greater reward because he is with the angel-scribes and receives multiple rewards. This elevated status was not mentioned to anyone else. How could someone who has not shown the same dedication to the Book of Allah, its memorization, mastery, frequent recitation, and understanding until he has excelled in it be equal to him?!
• Ibn Bāz said: The one who recites the Qur’an proficiently, mastering its recitation and memorizing it well, will be with the noble and obedient angel-scribes, i.e., if he recites it both in word and action—not merely recitation alone. He excels in reciting it and acting upon it, i.e., he adheres to it both in word and meaning.
