حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ

سَمِعَهُ مِنْ، عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِي حَجْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَتْ يَدِي تَطِيشُ فِي الصَّحْفَةِ فَقَالَ لِي «يَا غُلَامُ سَمِّ اللَّهَ وَكُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ وَكُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ»

I was under the care of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) (way peace be upon him), and as my hand used to roam about in the dish he said to me: Boy, mention the name of Allah, and eat with your right hand and eat from what is near to you.

মুহাম্মাদ ইবনু বাশশার (রহঃ) ..... আমর (রহঃ) থেকে বর্ণিত। তিনি জাবির ইবনু 'আবদুল্লাহ (রাযিঃ) কে বলতে শুনেছেনঃ রসূলুল্লাহ সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম খুতবাহ দিচ্ছিলেন। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের কেউ জুমু'আর দিনে (মসজিদে) এলো আর তখন যদি ইমাম (হুজরা থেকে) বের হয়ে থাকেন, তবে সে দু' রাকাআত সালাত আদায় করে নিবে। (ইসলামী ফাউন্ডেশন ১৮৯২, ইসলামীক সেন্টার)

شعبہ نے عمرو ( بن دینار ) سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے خطبے میں فرمایا : " جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص جمعے کے دن آئے جبکہ امام ( گھر سے ) نکل ( کر ) آچکا ہے تو وہ دو رکعت پڑھ لے ۔

Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Basysyar] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Muhammad bin Ja'far] telah menceritakan kepada kami [Syu'bah] dari [Amru] ia berkata, saya mendengar [Jabir bin Abdulah] bahwa Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam berkhutbah seraya bersabda: "Jika salah seorang dari kalian datang untuk mengerjakan shalat Jum'at, sementara imam telah keluar (naik mimbar), hendaklah ia shalat dua raka'at

Bize Muhammed b. Beşşâr rivayet etti. (Dediki): Bize Muhammed —yânî ibni Ca'fer— rivayet etti. (Dediki): Bize Şu'be, Amr'dari rivayet etti. Amr şöyle demiş: Ben Câbir b. Abdillâh'dan dinledim ki: Nebi (Sallallahu Aleyhi ve Sellem) hutbe okurken : «Sîzden biriniz cum'a, günü imam minbere çıktıkdan sonra mescide gelirse iki rek'ât namaz kılsın!» buyurmuşlar

What it teaches

• One of the etiquettes of eating and drinking is to begin with mentioning the name of Allah.
• Teaching children the proper etiquettes, especially those under one’s care.
• It shows the Prophet's leniency and patience in teaching and educating children.
• One of the etiquettes of eating is that one eats from the nearest side, except if there are various items of food, in which case a person can eat from that place.
• The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) would comply with the Prophet's teachings, as indicated by 'Umar's statement: Since then, I have been eating that way.
