Abu Hurayrah told that God’s messenger said, “The influence of the evil eye is true,” and forbade tattooing. (It would seem from this tradition that tattooing was used as a protection agains; the evil eye.)
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ» وَنَهَى عَن الوشم
