وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ أَكْلِ الْهِرَّةِ وَأَكْلِ ثَمَنِهَا
Jabir said the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) forbade eating cats or what is paid for them. 1 1. This might be either what was paid in kind, or what was bought with money paid for them.
