Abd ar-Rahman ibn Samurah reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Do not swear by idols or by your fathers.”
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ
قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَحْلِفُوا بِالطَّوَاغِي وَلَا بِآبَائِكُمْ»
