وَفِي «الْمُجْتَبَى» لِلدَّارَقُطْنِيِّ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

قَالَ: نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ضَرْبِ الْمُصَلِّينَ

In al-Mujtaba by Daraqutni Umar ibn al-Khattab is reported as saying, “God’s Messenger forbade us to beat people who observe the prayers.”
