وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
قَالَ: جَاءَ رجل إِلَى النَّبِي صلى فَقَالَ: إِن فلَانا يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ فَإِذَا أَصْبَحَ سَرَقَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّهُ سَيَنْهَاهُ مَا تَقُولُ
He told of a man who came to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and said, “So and so prays at night, and when morning comes he steals.” He replied, “What you say will restrain him.” Ahmad and Baihaqi, in Shuab al-iman, transmitted it.
