The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ordered him to take a bath.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رضى الله عنه
«(فِي قِصَّةِ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ أُثَالٍ، عِنْدَمَا أَسْلَم) وَأَمَرَهُ اَلنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ»
The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) ordered him to take a bath.
صحيح. وهو في «مصنف عبد الرازق» (6/9-10/9834) وفيه: «فأمره أن يغتسل فاغتسل»
