حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رضى الله عنهما عَنِ

النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَتَلَ مُعَاهَدًا لَمْ يَرَحْ رَائِحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ رِيحَهَا تُوجَدُ مِنْ مَسِيرَةِ أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا»

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Whoever killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims, shall not smell the smell of Paradise though its smell is perceived from a distance of forty years.”

‘আবদুল্লাহ ইবনু ‘আমর (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত। নবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেন, ‘যে ব্যক্তি কোন জিম্মীকে কতল করে, সে জান্নাতের ঘ্রাণ পাবে না। যদিও জান্নাতের ঘ্রাণ চল্লিশ বছরের দূরত্ব হতে পাওয়া যাবে।’ (৬৯১৪)

ہم سے قیس بن حفص نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے عبدالواحد نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے حسن بن عمرو نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم سے مجاہد نے بیان کیا اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جس نے کسی ذمی کو ( ناحق ) قتل کیا وہ جنت کی خوشبو بھی نہ پا سکے گا۔ حالانکہ جنت کی خوشبو چالیس سال کی راہ سے سونگھی جا سکتی ہے۔“

Telah bercerita kepada kami [Qais bin Hafsh] telah bercerita kepada kami ['Abdul Wahid] telah bercerita kepada kami [Al Hasan bin 'Amru] telah bercerita kepada kami [Mujahid] dari ['Abdullah bin 'Amru radliallahu 'anhu] dari Nabi shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Barang siapa yang membunuh mu'ahad (orang kafir yang terikat perjanjian) maka dia tidak akan mencium bau surga padahal sesungguhnya bau surga itu dapat dirasakan dari jarak empat puluh tahun perjalanan

What it teaches

• It is prohibited to kill a mu‘āhad, a dhimmi, or a musta’man. This is a major sin.
• Mu‘āhad: He is a disbeliever with whom a covenant was made while he lives in his land and does not fight the Muslims, nor do they fight him. Dhimmi: He is a non-Muslim who comes to live in the Muslim land and pays tribute. Musta’man: He is a non-Muslim who enters the land of the Muslims under a covenant and pledge of protection for a certain period of time.
• It warns against the betrayal of covenants with non-Muslims.
