Umar ibn al-Khattab said, “When the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, withdrew from his wives, I was with Rabah, the slave of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I called, ‘Rabah, ask permission for me to come in to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.’”
