In commenting on the words of Allah Almighty, “Anything you spend will be replaced by Him. and He is the best of Providers,” (Saba 34:39) Ibn Abbas said, “without extravagance or parsimony.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمُلَائِيِّ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: «وَمَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يَخْلُفُهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ»، قَالَ: فِي غَيْرِ إِسْرَافٍ، ولا تَقْتِيرٍ
