حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ شُمَيْسَةَ الْعَتَكِيَّةِ

قَالَتْ: ذُكِرَ أَدَبُ الْيَتِيمِ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا، فَقَالَتْ: إِنِّي لأَضْرِبُ الْيَتِيمَ حَتَّى يَنْبَسِطَ

“The disciplining of orphans was mentioned in the presence of Aishah and she said, ‘I would beat an orphan until he submits.’”
