Abdullah ibn Busr, the Companion of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said that when the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to a door when he wanted to ask permission to enter, he did not face it directly. He stood to the right or the left. If he was given permission, he went in. Otherwise he went away.
