Mentioned tradition has been narrated by Anas through a different chain of transmitters: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) raised his hands in front of his face and said: O Allah! Give us water. the narrator then reported then reported the tradition like the former.

Şerîk b. Abdullah b. Ebî Nemir, Enes (r.a.)'i (bir önceki 1174.) Abdülaziz hadisinin benzerini söylerken işittiğini bildirdi. (Farklı olarak Şerîk) şöyle dedi; Resûlullah (S.A.V.) ellerini yüzünün hizasına kadar kaldırıp; "Ey Allah'ım!... Bize yağmur yağdır..." diye dua etti. Şerîk (bundan sonra) Abdülazîz hadisinin benzerini nakletti
