Every site has a Share button under or beside the video. It opens a list with Copy link in it.
- YouTube: tap Share under the video, then Copy link.
- TikTok: tap the arrow on the right, then Copy link.
- Instagram: tap the paper plane under the reel, then Copy link.
- Facebook: tap Share, then Copy link.
- X: tap the share icon under the post, then Copy link.
Paste it and identify
Open whatsurah.org, paste the link into the box and press Identify the Ayah. The recitation is taken from the video, read word by word, and matched against all 6,236 Ayat of the Qur'an. In a few seconds you have the Surah, the Ayah number, the Arabic and the translation, with the recitation to play.
فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ ١٣
So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?
When the link will not open
Some videos cannot be fetched: they are private, limited by age, or blocked from being downloaded by a server. Then play the video out loud and switch to Voice; a few seconds of the recitation is enough.
Or use the WhatSurah app instead. It works most of the time, because it listens to the recitation as you play it, and it keeps every Ayah you find.
On Telegram
Send the same link, a voice note or the Arabic words to @WhatSurahBot and it replies with the Ayah.
