Surah Al-Fajr 89

سُورَةُ الفَجۡرِ“The Dawn”30 Ayat

  1. 89:1By the dawn
  2. 89:2And [by] ten nights
  3. 89:3And [by] the even [number] and the odd
  4. 89:4And [by] the night when it passes,
  5. 89:5Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception?
  6. 89:6Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad -
  7. 89:7[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars,
  8. 89:8The likes of whom had never been created in the land?
  9. 89:9And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley?
  10. 89:10And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? -
  11. 89:11[All of] whom oppressed within the lands
  12. 89:12And increased therein the corruption.
  13. 89:13So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
  14. 89:14Indeed, your Lord is in observation.
  15. 89:15And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has ho…
  16. 89:16But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me."
  17. 89:17No! But you do not honor the orphan
  18. 89:18And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor.
  19. 89:19And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether,
  20. 89:20And you love wealth with immense love.
  21. 89:21No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed -
  22. 89:22And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank,
  23. 89:23And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the r…
  24. 89:24He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
  25. 89:25So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
  26. 89:26And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].
  27. 89:27[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
  28. 89:28Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
  29. 89:29And enter among My [righteous] servants
  30. 89:30And enter My Paradise."
